The Options section in AgenaTrader contains fundamental settings for options trading, allowing users to adjust key parameters used in the Black-Scholes pricing model. These settings influence how options are evaluated within the platform.
Risk-Free Rate

Default value: 0.00000
(no dividend assumed).
Impacts option valuation, as dividends reduce the value of call options and increase the value of put options.

Default value: 365
days (full calendar year).
Can be adjusted to 252
to align with the number of trading days in a typical year.

Manipulate Confirmed Order Bars: Allow adjustments to confirmed order bars:
Autoscale Chart Trader Bars: Automatically scale the chart to keep all order bars visible.
Let's assume that you run a trade using the day chart and then switch to the 5-minute chart. This may lead to orders on the 5-minute chart being too far away from each other, so that in order to display all orders the chart must be extremely compacted. So, check this box if you want all order bars to be shown inside the chart (autoscale). If order bars may also be located outside the chart, do not select this option.
Autoscale Chart Trade Markers: Ensure all trade markers fit within the chart.
Link ChartGroups to Static Instrument Lists: Sync changes between chart groups and static instrument lists.
Print White Chart Background: Print charts with a white background.
Remember Price Scale: Keep your zoom settings consistent across instruments.
Show Info Indicator: View instrument details directly on the chart.
If the info indicator is supposed to be displayed only for specific charts, disable this global settings and add the indicator manually to those charts

The History section in AgenaTrader allows you to configure historical data settings to optimize your trading experience. It provides tools to manage trading hours, breaks, and specific market conditions for better historical analysis and backtesting.
The Market Place Escort allows you to set various properties for different trading exchanges, including trading hours, trading pauses, and reversal times. These settings help ensure accurate market representation in your charts.
Trading hours define the official time periods during which trading takes place on exchanges.
The times correspond to the local time set on your computer.
AgenaTrader automatically assigns an exchange to instruments, ensuring prices align with official trading hours.
The "Exclude Weekend" option lets you remove weekend data from charts, disabling the start and end time settings when activated.
Over-the-counter (OTC) trading hours, such as pre- and post-market hours, can also be configured to include extended trading times.
Important: Differences in closing prices may occur based on the selected timeframe. For example, a 15-minute chart may close at 22:00, while a 1-minute chart will close at 22:05. Directly received timeframes from data feeds cannot always align precisely with session end times.
Define specific periods during which trading activity is paused to match exchange schedules.
Trading pauses can occur during trade openings, midday breaks, or near the trading end.
If you wish to avoid trading during uncertain periods, select the "Flat" checkbox in the Marketplace Escort to automatically close trades and orders during these times.
AgenaTrader++ will not generate new signals during trading pauses, but manual trading remains possible.
If you want trades to close automatically before a pause and prevent new signals, define two seamless trading pauses.
Customize the background color for trading breaks using the "Chart Color" settings to visualize pauses in the chart and Analyzer-Escort columns.
Reversal times are statistically significant time ranges where instruments may change direction due to volume shifts.
Common reversal times include lunch breaks, afternoon session openings, and end-of-day positioning.
Enter known reversal times in the Marketplace Escort under the Reversal Times tab.
Use the "Chart Color" button to customize chart colors for reversal times and recognize them easily.
To display reversal times, add the "Trading Times Background" indicator to the chart.
Note: Market trends do not always follow predictable patterns. While reversal times may provide useful insights, they do not guarantee successful trades.
If you connect to a new data feed / broker in the account connection manager, the Instrument import popup will be displayed. Depending on which markets are selected in the instrument import popup, the relevant trading hours and exchanges will be loaded via a server. After selecting and importing all exchanges, the Marketplace Escort will display a dialog window in which you can set the exchange trading hours.
Please verify these trading hours and keep in mind that the US stock exchanges have different summer/winter phases which may result in display deviations.
ATTENTION! When using the internal simulation account, the correct input of trading hours is absolutely essential due to enormous deviations in spread that may exist in the pre-/post-market trading hours. This may lead to your orders being filled even if the price is far away from your order.
When downloading data for later replay. AgenaTrader will also use the additional amount of data displayed on these settings from the time immediately before you starting point.

For the Futures, you may adjust some additional settings. Check the Show Rollover Alert checkbox if you wish to be shown the futures calendar window (see below) upon starting up AgenaTrader - it will appear if one of the major futures is n days before its rollover. The dialog window will open where the cursor is positioned.
In the Futures calendar window you will see the day of the month on which the rollover will take place:
If the rollover date lies within the time range between the predefined days and the contract expiration date, then the corresponding cell will be highlighted in red.
If the expiration date lies in the past, then the corresponding cell will be highlighted in light red.
If the futures has already been rolled over to the next contract, then the corresponding cell will be highlighted in green.
By clicking on the symbol you will call up the detail window for the instrument within the Instrument Editor. Here you may make the necessary changes. More information about the rollover can be found in the section: Futures contract rollover.
