# Chart is ticking without displaying candles

**Most probable reasons and solutions**

* If trading hours of an instrument in the Instrument Editor are not adjusted to the real world trading hours of the exchange.

-> We strongly advise against changing trading hours as long as you does not have advanced knowledge about AgenaTrader.

* If the trading hours of a complete exchange of the marketplace escort are not adjusted to the real world trading hours of the exchange.

-> We strongly advise against changing trading hours as long as you does not have advanced knowledge about AgenaTrader.

* If the settings "exclude weekends" in GlobalConfiguration/Chart is active, then no new candles are drawn during the weekend. If the From/To settings of this feature are changed this could lead to the problem that other days like Monday or Friday are excluded on the chart.

-> We advise against changing "Exclude Weekends" settings. Find default settings below:
